Wax is one of the most important and useful materials in special effects make up such as simulated injuries and facial distortions. There are many different kind of wax can be use for make up. Unfortunately, we cant find it in Darwin. Therefore, we brought a BN Nose & Scar Wax online. It costs AU $12 from ebay.

This is the blog entry to research Injury Make Up knowledge for the productions use. I will be study the special effects products, blood recipes and realistic bruises effects techniques.

Make a scary horror movie, there will be many bloody scenes. There is different kind of bleeding, it can be classified according to the type of blood vessel that is damaged: artery, vein, or capillary. Following is the description of the types of bleeding. The colour of blood will depends how to injured, weapon and time scale. 




There are many kinds of blood on the market. Because we are run on tight budgets, so home-made blood will be used. There are an numerous number of blood recipes available on internet. Some of the blood recipe are contained toxic substances which are not edible.


Blood Recipe (Flour)
Flour                           - 1 to 2 level tsp (depanding on tickness required)
Red food colouring       - 6 tsp 
Blue food coulouring    - few drops
